You'll have to click on the picture to enlarge, but I think we have two baby birds in the nest. One grew feathers overnight...the other is still bald. The funny thing is: the egg that was cracked in yesterday's photo hasn't hatched yet. And to be able to witness this miracle is awesome.

And they have such a pretty place to nest...

That is so precious! The cardinal eggs I took pictures of last week only has one egg in the nest and I'm afraid the mama bird has abandoned it. Something got the other two eggs. The nest was built pretty low to the ground.

ReplyDeleteI bet that mama bird thinks those babies are beautiful, just like we think ours are. Only a mother could love that bald one! He will probably be the most beautiful one when he is grown.
