Really, I'm still here! I've not been reading blogs like I want to and have a lot of catching up to do, but I promise I will. Hubby and I are still in the process of moving a few things to set up his new "man cave", as he calls it. When he returned home from work yesterday, I had hung a cute, cute, cute Easter banner on his front door. His coworker teased him about it, but I reminded him that I will be living here with him soon. hee hee
My last day of work will be March 20 and I will be starting a new job the first part of April. I will have a couple weeks off in between jobs and hope to finish moving my things to the new man cave. (will no longer be called a man cave at that point) This place is little, but it has a lot of decorating potential. While sitting around in here, my mind is constantly racing with ideas of how to make it cute and livable for the next year. Of course, I don't want to spend too much money doing so, since this place is very temporary, but I do want to "smile" when I walk in the door.
I could get into trouble while living here. My favorite store, TJ Maxx, (and several other great stores) are just a block or two away from my home! What a dream come true! I hope I can discipline myself to not go into the store everyday. I hope to find the library here next week. I love libraries and look forward to checking out this town's book collection.
We ordered pizza last night and it took 1 1/2 hours for it to arrive. Needless to say, it was cold and they didn't get our order right. I had my taste buds set on a veggie pizza and it didn't arrive. I called the pizza place and they told me they could have one out within two hours. It was almost 9:00 pm then.... no thanks! Maybe another time.... from a different pizza place.
So, I sent hubby out to the grocery store (two blocks from home) to buy some Reese's cups for me. He came back with a 10 pack. I finished the last one this morning! hmmmm.... from veggie pizza to 10 Reese's cups.... what a healthy person I am.
On a healthy note: I have found a spot for our treadmill in this tiny little place. It will be in the corner of the livingroom, which is not very attractive, but at least it will be here. Maybe then, if I want a Reese's cup, I can walk out the craving on the treadmill. ha! Or at least, walk WHILE eating my candy.
It's raining here today.... raining ... raining.... raining. I have yet to see this new town with sunshine. Each time I have visited, it has rained. Rain, cold pizza, Reese's cups..... welcome home!
I promise I will bring my camera and post "real" pictures soon! Hope you guys have a wonderful weekend!
Hey there Penny! So glad to hear from you. Sounds like you are going to really like your new place. TJ Maxx that close!!! It must be exciting to decorate a new place for just the two of you. Could be a romantic place to make memories!!!!!:o)
ReplyDeleteHey... the shower was fun. Hope we get to do many more fun, fun, things. Check your email!
ReplyDeleteAs many times as I have been to RM, I have never been to the library.
ReplyDeleteI just know you'll make the new place wonderful...and with the help of the MAXX just down the street, what more can you ask for? Oh yeah, hot pizza in a shorter time - lol.
ReplyDeleteTake care and enjoy the 2 weeks "off" - as if you'll have any leisure time at all. I hate moving out but somehow I love moving in - everythig in it's place and all.
Take care!
Colleen
I like the idea of eating the reese cups while walking on the treadmill!!! I'd give anything for chocolate about now, but I know if I start I'll be back in rehab! Have fun decorating and I do hope you find a better pizza place because pizza is essential.
ReplyDeleteYou know when I visit relatives and mom and dad's graves, I often stop at that TJ Maxx. I love the shops at the mall. You are going to be in big trouble with TJ that close...LOL
