I struggled with how to fix the large black patch in the upper left corner and ended up adding an applique patch over it. It does help break up the large area, but I'm not sure I like it. (see below) I wish I had added another embroidery to that side, but alas, it's done and I'm over it.
It was a fun piece to make, but I'm ready to move on to something else.
That is adorable it looks so Swedish to me.

It turned out great Penny! Doesn't it feel good to have a finish? I love the needlework and the patchwork. Your work always inspires me to do more handwork, which I enjoy doing while watching tv at night.
ReplyDeleteHi Penny, Haven't been on blogs for a couple of years now. Decided to come on tonight to see what everyone has been up to. I love your snowman quilt. Congrats on finishing something. My son and daughter in law had a baby in April 2018 and I have not even started his quilt. I'm just embroidering a Jack Dempsey pattern but still its in its package. Maybe I can get it done by his second birthday :) Its nice to be back in the blogging world hope to start posting again soon. Have had lots of changes in the past few years. Blessings, Joann Allen
