Gingerbread Quilt

Here's another of my "favorite things" made for me by my mother in law several years ago. She had never even made a quilt before and made these cute little wall hangings for Christmas gifts that year. She is very talented and can do anything she tries.... cooking, sewing, flower arranging, decorating, etc. I've always thought this quilt belonged somewhere in my kitchen, but really don't have a good spot for it in my current home. I keep it on the back of a chair for now. Does it make you think "Christmas"? You know it's just around the corner!

  2. That would be one of my favorite things too! A hand made gift is so special! I never met my sweetie's mama. She was 47 years old when he was born and has been dead for many years. I have heard so many good things about her, I feel like I know her.

  3. You'd love to meet my sil! She is the CVS coupon/bucks queen. Truly. I am allergic to shopping, so I just tell her what I need and she almost always gets it for free!

Willow, another one saved by grace

  4. I remember that little quilt and always liked it. Yes, your mother-in-law is very, very talented. She even makes lace. And all those little baby blankets with the crochet edging.

It really cooled off here today, after a storm late yesterday afternoon. Feels so good!!

  9. How pretty. Thanks for the tip on the muffins. I never got my CVS stuff. My store didn't get the items in. Oh well. There will be another sale.

YIKES...lol! I've been thinking of pulling some of my Christmas books off the shelves and getting some ideas. Blessings!
