We just got back from our beach vacation. We went to a new beach (for us) this year. It was a lot of fun exploring new places, but I missed our 'home' beach. The water wasn't as clear at our new beach AND we saw an alligator swimming along the shore!

Most of my sewing time has been limited to this quilt. It's being hand quilted and I'm almost finished!! I've enjoyed the process of hand quilting again and had forgotten how much I enjoyed it. It's a slow process, but so pretty.
I've been sick with a sinus infection, bronchitis and just plain ole' yuk! I'm much better after a round of antibiotics and steroids. But my ribs are so sore. I went back to work this weekend and I sure felt those ribs every time I helped to lift a patient. Whew, glad for this day to recover!
Our garden is just about gone. We've had a lot of rain in NC and I think the squash just couldn't take it this year. We still have a few cucumbers and a few tomato plants. But they aren't the prettiest plants we've ever grown . I think I see a trip to the farmer's market in my near future.
Just checking in.... I hope everyone is doing well!
So do we have a date for this wedding... everything is moving soooo fast. I love April and want what is best for her... The pictures of the beach looked like fun!! Luv ya!
ReplyDeleteNice to have a post from you. Glad you got to go on vacation. Sorry the beach wasn't the same. We go to the same cabin each year in Mammoth Lakes and my husband is wanting to take different trips. I'm so afraid of missing it, I love tradition! I know how you feel about April and Ronnie but I'm very happy for them. ((HUGS)) I worry about my children moving away yet I moved away from my family 25 years ago. The boys are just too cute but you know that already. Of course you can't hear that enough can you?
ReplyDeleteAhhhhhh...relaxing with family...but I can't believe you saw an alliigator! That would have totally freaked me out! Hope you enjoyed every second! :) Making memories!
ReplyDeleteHi Pen, looks like you and your family have had a nice vacation together! Would love to do that sometime. I hope your "crud" keeps getting better. That's no fun, especially in the summer time!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Ms. A! Hope all her dreams come true. You can make some trips with your hubby to Nashville and do some sightseeing along the way. Maybe some barn quilts?
Love the handquilted quilt. I've got to get started on another. Yes, it is a slow process, but when I finished the Grandma quilt I was so pleased with it. Gave it to my daughter.
Those little boys are so sweet.
