I have a sweet friend at church who bought me a diaper bag! Isn't this the sweetest thing ever? I really should ask my daughter in law if she would like to have it, as she will probably get more use out of it than I will. Isn't it adorable?
And speaking of babies... in my last post, I was very torn on what to do about our living situation. Yesterday morning I went for a job interview and was offered probably the best job situation I could ask for. When I left the interview, I had full intentions of taking the job and moving to a new town with hubby. After the interview, I attended a funeral with my parents, and had the privilege of standing beside a couple with twin girls. Those babies were coo'ing and chattering during the entire funeral ... making the sweetest baby noises ever! By the time I got back home, I no longer wanted a new job... I no longer wanted to move.... I just want to hold my new grandson... and hear his little coo'ing noises anytime I want! My husband rolled his eyes and told me I was the most wishy washy person he knows.... which is true... I cannot argue with that. Once again, he went along with whatever my desires are, and told me that he is perfectly fine to continue commuting... for me to stay home... and wait for the baby. :o)
You will so enjoy holding your grandson....it's such a wonderful thing!! It also sounds like you have a pretty awesome hubby!!

pen pen, Baby is going to be looking pretty smart, and even have nice luggage for all the goodies. What nice gifts.
ReplyDeleteKnow what you mean about wanting to be there for that baby. Those first few years are pretty special.

What cute bibs and diaper bag! I know you are going to adore that new baby when he makes his arrival!
ReplyDeleteI love the bibs and especially the diaper bag! You are a lucky lady! I've heard of grandparents packing up and moving to where the baby lives, so maybe you saved yourself some trouble by staying put!
ReplyDeleteHi Penny, I'm so glad they got there safe and sound! And what a beautiful diaper bag!
ReplyDeleteAnd... they're only babies for a little while... stay put until the time is right!
Ya know sometimes we just need a little Devine Guidance and I think that is what you just experienced. My mom and dad moved 1500 miles away when I was 5 mos. pregnant with my second child and it was a year before they actually got to see her. They missed soooo much!!! and my daughter didn't know them at all... so I think you made the right choice. you won't regret it!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your new grandson when he gets here and I'm sure it'll be much more rewarding than a new job any day! I'm glad you figured it out before it was too late. Dusty is home and feeling somewhat better. He gets the stitches out tomorrow. I guess it'll just take time to heal.
ReplyDeleteHi Penny, I know how hard it is to be away from my sweet little grands. The pic you saw on my blog of my favorite photo, is my little grand that I spent at least one day a week with for the first four and a half years of her life. But then my hubby took the Pastorate of a church, three thousand miles away. I will only see my little grands once a year for a few days. It is hard, there is no doubt, but I talk to my daughter and her two little ones every few days and I would never trade being with my hubby for that, as wonderful as it is. We each have to make our own choices and I respect you for making this difficult one.
