Busy me!

I've been busy having fun. Once I finally got started cutting fabric, I can't seem to stop! I was up until after 2am this morning, working on my quilt plans. There will be a few embroidered blocks in the quilt. I found these designs on the internet from a coloring book (page) site.
Did I ever show you my light box? My husband bought this for me as a Christmas gift one year. One of the best gifts ever... makes transferring patterns so much easier. I used to tape the pattern and the fabric to the glass storm door... worked well, but this is much more comfortable!

One of the fishies... will be embroidered in colors to match the fabrics.

I'm finished transferring designs, so I just packed up the light box and cleaned my work area some. Looking forward to sitting down to embroider. What have you been working on?

  1. Your quilt is going to be so cute! Can't wait to see it. I need a light box.

I have been handquilting grandson's Spiderman Quilt, every minute I get so I can finish it by the 29th.

  2. That is going to be so cute! I love the colors and the little fish pattern.

I've always wanted one of those light boxes. It would be good for so many crafts.

  3. I agree.....I need a light box!!! Are you hand or machine emb.?

  4. I know its going to be pretty... I can't wait to see the finished project.... your dad's been feeling under the weather (summer cold, I guess, he is hoarse).. but will not stop working ... you know how he is... Love ya!

  5. Diane... it's hand embroidery, but I've always wanted to play with an embroidery machine! :o)

  6. Love your light box I just use my daylight lamp under a plasic sterilite drawer...works for me!! Can't wait to see the finished product. I have an embroidery machine and have only used it to embroider some names once. I like the fact that I have it but I just love to hand embroider.
