Believe it or not... I finally finished a quilt. It has been years (and years) since I've made a quilt. Even though this is a small baby quilt, it feels good to finish it. We won't talk about how long it took me to complete it. :-)

I made this quilt using fabric I already had on hand. I wasn't thrilled with it, so added the verse trimmed in red ric rac, as a late addition. I like the verse, but wasn't happy with the way the ric rac was sewn on. I don't think I've ever used ric rac in a project before.

Check out that binding! Instructions by
Debbie J. from her quilting blog. Her instructions were perfect, and so easy to follow. Thanks Debbie!

If you click on the picture, you can read the verse. This was also my first attempt at machine quilting. I loved it and will definitely do that again. I will probably make my "quilting" stitches larger next time.

It's difficult to get a picture when I'm home alone. If I put the quilt on the bed, my dogs would jump on it... so I have draped it across my mirror on my NEW bedroom suite. (did I tell you I got a new set for Christmas? I love it!) Anyway, this was a good "practice" quilt... now I'm ready to get busy and really make something pretty!
