Sweet Pea and I have had a lot of "rest" time the past few days. Guess what I've done? I quit my new job! I decided night shift and an hour commute both ways was a bit much for me. Plus, have you seen the gas prices? I'll be finding something more local to do. Butterbean has enjoyed his "rest" time with me too. He seems to be a little warm these days, as he is lying under the ceiling fan, trying to cool off. I think a summer haircut is in order for him this week.
There will be lots of rest time for the doggies this week, as I hit the pavement, trying to find another job. I'm sure there is something out there.... most places still have a nursing shortage. Wish me luck!
PEN PEN,
ReplyDeleteYou sure have been going through a lot of changes. If I go to a different grocery store I think thats a big deal. Maybe I should get out more.
Good luck with finding a new job, I hope its something real close by and just the right hours.
Happy wedding!!
NANCY JO
You'll find something... and maybe it won't take so long. I really worried about you having to drive that hour home in the morning traffic after you worked all night.
ReplyDeleteOle Butterbean looks like he's enjoying the fan.
Sounds like you made a wise decision! Gas here in KC is just out of sight. Plus the two hours of driving each day could be spent in the sewing room!!!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad! Your new job and commute did seem like too much! You are way too sweet to have to go through all that and the gas prices too. I'm sure you'll find the job that's meant for you. Mean while, did you bring your sewing machine........???? BTW, if you click on one of the "here"s in the post, the bible cover post is there. The clothes pin bag already sold!
ReplyDeleteLuck! haha. Hope you find something!
ReplyDeleteLook at my babies! Sweet Pea looks like she just woke up - and Butterbean looks like he is just happy to be there...under the fan!!!!!
ReplyDeletePenny, I'm sure you'll find something closer. Like you said nursing centers are always in need of great help. I think our puppies could be siblings! Shadow lays just like Butterbean. Lately she likes to lay on the slate in front of the fireplace -- I guess it's cooler there. Good luck job hunting. I'll be praying for something special.
ReplyDeleteYou will do great - all things happen for a reason and working nights and a 2 hour commute - well, you are worth WAY more than that.So take heart - you will find that perfect fit.
ReplyDeleteYour pups will love having yu home fo a little while and they'll be sad when you go back to work :-(
Butterbean is sooo cute and Sweet Pea is just that - SWEEEET!
Take care and I think you made the PERFECT decision!
