White Trash Cooking
This is one of my most favorite cookbooks of all times! I bought it while living in Western NC and it has continued to be a favorite read of mine. I suspected, but didn't realize I was "white trash" until I read through this book. :o) It has a lot of what us good 'ol southerners like to eat and a few things I had never heard of, but they sounded good too! (has some great photo's included) Since I like this book so much, I purchased White Trash Cooking II from Amazon this past week. As expected, I didn't like it nearly as much as the first one, but am happy to have it all the same. Not only are these recipes interesting, easy, and tasty, most of them are very cheap to make. So, if you are watching your pennies, like most folks are these days, you may want to get yourself a copy of this book. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I enjoy mine.
My kids always say we are what you call white trash with money. I just know that buried in my keepsake trunks is a red tube top -- need I say more.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you could share your favorite recipe from this cook book! I love easy, good and cheap recipes.
