Slow Stitching

I really am getting close to the end.

I’m not working on this piece as much as I was in the beginning , as I keep finding other things to do! But I WILL finish it soon.

I did make this no sew rag wreath this past week. I went through my scrap basket and tied strips onto a wire wreath frame. Easy peasey, but barely touched my scrap basket. 😆 There are instructions all over Pinterest if you want to make your own.

I’m linking up with Kathy’s Quilts for Slow Sunday Stitching . Take a peek to see what others are hand stitching today.

  1. You are indeed getting closer to the end of your gorgeous stitchery. Love that fabulous wreath. I did laugh when you said the making of this pretty wreath didn't make a dent in your scrap basket. Those scraps just never seem to disappear, do they, no matter what we make from them.

  3. Your 23rd Psalm stitching is so pretty! I love that section of trees you're working on now. The wreath is neat - I bet I have plenty of scrappy strips that I could do that with!

  5. I got one of those wreath frames years ago and started tying strips on then gave up; decided it would take me forever. Yours turned out so cute and the cross-stitch is looking fantastic!

  11. I have a 23rd Psalm sampler pattern I have saved for decades. Yours inspires me, but I don't know if it inspires me to action or not. LOL
    A fun patriotic wreath!

  12. You have made a lot of progress on your sampler, Penny. It is looking wonderful. And what a cute wreath. That sounds like a fun project. I think I may have to make one of these in the future. Have a lovely rest of the week, dear.

  14. Just caught up on your posts. You do keep busy- which is a good thing. I love your stitching and all your choices. I notice a lot of folks are stitching patriotic projects just now...seems to be the right sentiment for the times. Meanwhile, love the wreathe. Neat idea.
