Another Christmas Over So Soon!

It was a Merry Christmas, but it came and went so soon!

Little Penpen and the grandchildren

I've heard others say this and it's true for me, too:  I enjoy the week after Christmas the most.  There is nowhere to go, the presents are all opened, and the stress is gone.  I can enjoy my Christmas tree lights, reflect on the season,  reflect on the birth of Jesus, find the calm that I wish was there during the hectic part of the season.

Our little brides

I'm looking forward to a new year.  The longer I am 'retired' from nursing , the more I find that I enjoy being retired.  I'm hoping for a very productive year!

Happy New Year to all!

One year, I made my grand-daughter a bride out-fit for her Halloween costume. I took her to a mall for Trick or Treat festivities and she was quite a hit wearing it. She was probably four at the time.

I am with you, I am enjoying the relaxing moments that have followed a busy Christmas season. I read my devotional today, and did my prayer journal, and just thought about my family and the blessings in my life. I hope that you have a happy New Year! Hugs. Juli

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Penny! Look at all those gorgeous grandchildren and especially the one with the gorgeous "Glamma"!

I agree with your statement about enjoying Christmas the week after! No more pressure to cook, wrap, shop and entertain..... whew.

I'm full of inspiration though on how to do Christmas next year. I need to write it all down, because I won't remember any of it next year! HAHA
