Annabelle Quilt

First finish of 2015:  Our Sweet Annabelle's Quilt.    Annabelle Morgan is due to arrive in March and I can't wait to meet her!  This is our daughter's first baby and she is planning her nursery in vintage pastels.

The back of Annabelle's quilt.  (quilt pic taken upside down, label in corner).  I quilted this one by machine, using  the walking foot for the entire process.  This was a very relaxing way to quilt and no muscle soreness, like when I attempt free motion quilting.

An embroidered corner label:   This is the first time I've used the corner label and I like the way it looks on the quilt.   This quilt was made entirely from fabric and batting I already had on hand.  It is very satisfying to see the stash being used.

I have this quilt in the washer now and will pack it up for my trip to TN next month.  I'm planning to go out and help my daughter 'nest' a little before Annabelle arrives.  AND she has promised to take me to Paducah KY for a day trip to see Quilt City USA.  I'm looking forward to our little time together.

  2. I LOVE this quilt! I'm going to need to make a baby quilt in a few months, but I have a feeling the mama isn't going to want the pretty pastels.Which of course, I love. Enjoy your time with your daughter, and give us the low down on Paducah.
