Friday Night Sewing

My friend, Debbie, at Homemaking Dreams, has started doing her Christmas sewing on Friday nights. I was supposed to work Friday evening, but got a surprising phone call around 11:00 am, telling me they had overstaffed at work, and was wondering if I would like the day off. Well, Lord, YES!!!! So, since I recently gave up Facebook, I decided to spend my Friday evening sitting in the livingroom with my husband and sewing while we watched tv. I thought about Debbie and the others who have Friday Night Sew-in's all over blog country. The yo yo's I stitched up last night were created from my first charm swap that I posted a few posts down. (btw: I'm still looking for swappers if anyone is interested) I was so happy to look in the mailbox yesterday and find this sweet little package from Melissa, at Ardea's Nest. Thanks, Melissa... these yo yo's will add some terrific color to my currently dull collection! Friday night was a sweet night at my house. What did you do?

  1. What did I do last night? SLEEP... I got the prescription to the drug store at 4:30 pm (and that's coming straight from the doctor) they said it would take an hour... so I came home and went back in an hour....came home took the meds.. fixed a salad and ate supper...got the blanket you gave me for Christmas .. got on the love seat and was asleep before seven pm and was called up to go to bed at 3:15 am by your dad... slept to 8:30 am this morning and I feel like a new woman... Thank You LORD !!

  2. hi pen pen,
Oh boy you had a night off of work, that would have me me happy if I was still working.

  3. YAY that you got out of working! & on a Friday Night! Sounds heavenly just relaxing together & sewing! We spent the night at home, ordered in pizza & had my parents over. We got a few house projects done & snuggled in :) It was nice :)

  6. I'm so glad you did that, actually doing something with your Friday night rather then sit on your computer. Way to go. I know that I wasn't on my computer too much this weekend because we had plans and it felt good to actually be out of the house and the attachment to my computer!
