Applesauce Pie... so easy!

I wish I had taken a picture of my applesauce pie, but I forgot, and it didn't hang around long enough to beg for a picture. My friend shared this recipe with me and it was so easy... so quick.... so pretty! I hope you'll try it.
Applesauce Pie
2 cans crescent rolls
1 quart applesauce
1 stick butter
cinnamon to taste
sugar to taste
Melt butter. Spread half of it into a 9X13 pan. Layer one tube crescent rolls in bottom of pan. Cover with applesauce. ( I mixed cinnamon and sugar with my applesauce to flavor and sweeten it) Layer with the other can of crescent rolls. Mix remaining butter, sugar, and cinnamon and sprinkle on top. Bake at 375 until brown! Yum!

  1. Sounds yummy! Butter really isn't on our diet, but with the holidays coming, I'd be lying if I denied there will be cheating going on! This will be great to take to dinner at the in-laws! I can't bake to save my soul, but hubby makes killer homemade applesauce, so this will be perfect for both of us! Thanks!

  6. Hi Pen Pen,
Yes it does look like a good idea. yum.
Pen, you can put just the pretty towels on top of of a basket, then no one will see the old ones HA.

  7. That does sound good, wish you had taken a picture! I bet you could leave out the melted butter on the bottom and just sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon on top. We make a slightly different one (different filling) with crescent rolls that my son loves and we just spray the bottom with cooking spray and sprinkle the top with cinnamon sugar and it is delicious (and a little less fattening without all the butter). I might give this one a try, too.
