My new country look!

Even though many people think the country look is no longer popular, I still love it, and think I always will. I purchased this bedspread for our new apartment and it was delivered to my house today. I was afraid it would be a little too red, but when I opened the box, I was excited to find just the right color inside.... it's brick red with cream accents. I bought the little pillow you see in the center of the picture too. I can't wait to see how it will all look on "our" bed.

Next week will be my last week of work at my current job. I'm receiving lots of goodbyes and well wishes already, which makes me feel sort of sad. I'm truly looking forward to a new beginning, but knowing that I am closing another chapter in my life here brings mixed emotions. I have met many wonderful people here and developed friendships with several people that I will truly miss.

I think living in different areas of the state during my husband's career has been a very rewarding experience and I wouldn't take anything for it. If we had not done so, I would have never met a few very special people in my life, who will never know just how much they have touched my heart. I'm amazed at God's goodness and how he put the right people in the right places, just for me, to make my life a little more special. Thank you, God, for the wonderful people you have blessed my life with!

As much as I have missed having you live close, I know that you have grown so much more by living everywhere. God is good to have you meet so many wonderful people!

  5. Having been a military wife for many years and moved a lot I know what you are going through. But instead of dreading each move I always looked forward to new adventures and it seems like that is what you are doing too. Good luck.

  6. The spread is timeless because it's such a pretty quilt. I think it looks awesome! The colors are vibrant and bright and that's just what your "new" life will be! With your outgoingness and humor, it will take you NO TIME at all to be swimming in new friendships!
You have a great attitude and although you will miss your co-workers, just remember how they impacted your life...and look forward to all the new co-workers you've yet to meet!

  13. It doesn't matter whether Country is "in" or not. If you like it, that is all that matters! I think it's beautiful.
