Happy Valentines Day

Happy Valentine's Day to everybody! I hope you have a wonderful romantic day with the one you love. We woke up to a beautiful blanket of snow this morning. Just when we think Spring is here.... here comes the snow. Not complaining, as it is very pretty! I was in Wal Mart yesterday and it was fun watching all the men crowded around the Valentine displays. There were old men, young men, cute men, ugly men.... and they were all trying to please a certain someone in their life. It was fun to see them come through the register with their tokens of love..... cards, candy, flowers, balloons, stuffed animals. You could almost tell what kind of man he was by looking at the gift he had picked out for his special one. Some had a sense of humor, while others were very serious, and some just knew better than to come home empty handed! I need to go back to Wal Mart today for a refund and I think the Valentine show will be even better today. It will be fun to see the men who waited until the last minute, sorting through the picked over goods, to find that special something, so they don't get into trouble tonight. (I'll probably see MY hubby in that crowd) Ha! Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

  1. My Hubby had no trouble selling the pocketbooks to men who didn't want to have to worry about buying a Valentine's gift! LOL I even put them in a tissue lined box. My hubby also informed me we wouldn't be celebrating Valentine's Day until tonight. So that tells me he isn't ready yet! LOL I was ready with my little gift this morning. :o)

  2. My daughter works part time in a Hallmark store and today is the day they see all the men come in for cards! These cards have been barely touches before today while the cards for husbands and boyfriends are almost gone. Men sure do shop differently.

  5. Hope you had a sweet Valentine's Day. I was at the grocery store this morning and there were lots of men and some ladies doing last minute shopping, it was fun seeing the last minute search for flowers and cards.

I like your color scheme for your new place. Let us know how the little yo-yo maker works. I quilt and have always wanted to make a yo-yo quilt. hugs, Linda

  6. Great observation! I went to Walmart yesterday and it was like someone turned loose the crazy people! Everyone running around trying to buy balloons and cards! We got a SMALL amount of snow yesterday too - it was so weird. That's NC for you!
