Summer's gifts continue

I went out to my fallen, sad looking tomato vines this morning just to check for signs of life and look what I found.... three beautiful red tomatoes! These may be the last for this year, so we must truly enjoy every bite of these! ~Simple pleasures~

  1. I wish we had some more tomatoes. Those look nice, too. Usually by this time of year they don't look that pretty! Some tomato sandwiches would be good.

  2. They will definitely be the best ones of the year... that's the way it always is... those first ones are good... but the last ones are best!! Got any green ones left? If so they will ripen inside if you get them before it frosts. Thanks for the bike picture!!

  5. Enjoy every bite! I remember after Hurricane Isabel we had been stuck eating canned food. When we were finally able to get out, we found a vegetable man selling fruits and veggies and all I wanted was a tomato for a tomato sandwich!
